Hi there! I'm Dr. Natalie Campbell.

Since 1997 when I received my Doctorate at the CA School of Professional Psychology-San Diego, I have been passionately helping individuals help themselves. Finding a voice, improving confidence, obtaining clarity and resolution around disruptive relational patterns, maintaining sobriety from alcohol and emotional eating, bereavement, and expanding a Higher Self Conscious are a few of my specialities. Personal growth is a journey and not a destination. When life gets overwhelming, we can’t do it alone. I hope to be that safe and supportive person where you come to explore and open up so that you feel more in alignment with the best person that you are meant to be. I believe that we are of mind-body-spirit, as my approach with you is person-centered and authentic. In the process of your meaningful growth, I incorporate productive and efficient skills so that you have what you need in your life toolbox.

My own experience with therapy has confirmed the power in providing a supportive and safe space where there is no judgement or criticism. Being seen and heard is a critical aspect to your journey.

My clients describe me as sympathetic, empathetic, wise, funny, and a great listener. Life is short and it’s so important to find your voice and confidence as you trudge the road to happy destiny!

When I’m not working, I’m often painting at the easel, gardening, hanging outdoors, playing with my animals, traveling with my partner, or attempting to improve my golf swing.

Interventions:

Some of the evidence-based techniques are mindfulness, meditation, hypnotherapy, Imago and Emotional Focused techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and 12-Steps to name a few.

Fees:

I do not participate on insurance panels; however, I can provide Superbills for you to submit to insurance for your percentage reimbursement.

A sliding scale is offered for those who qualify.

Communication

“Effective” communication is a skill set most people take for granted. Like a skill, it needs to be taught and practiced. I use a plethora of tools to help individuals and couples embrace and own effective communication skills to improve just about any relationship.

Toxic/Codependent Relationships

Does it sometimes feel like you cannot function without someone or they can’t function without you? Or negative interpersonal patterns and controlling manipulative behaviors seem to overtake the power dynamic? I can help tease out the complicated issues and gain the clarity to move foward in a seemingly stuck situation.

Boundaries

Learning how to trust your instincts and feel secure and grounded in your own truth so that toxic individuals do not take advantage of you is one of my skills as your therapist.

Anxiety & Depression

In the world today, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and undermotivated. Kind of like feeling stuck in mud and you can’t seem to move fast enough to stay on top of life and its’ expectations. Self-esteem spirals downward. I can help to find inner peace, recalibrate the calm, and renegotiate the power balance so that you feel more motivated and in control of your life.

Spiritual Development

There is a difference between organized religion and spirituality. Incorporating the mind-body-spirit paradigm, I offer a nonjudgmental and safe space to explore your process and discover your life’s journey, goals, and obtain a more profound connection with your Higher Power (as you understand h/her), and your Higher SELF.

Emotional Eating & Recovery

Eating Disorder vs emotional eating are different! I am well-versed in this work as I have kept off 50 pounds for over 30 years. For those recovering and/or struggling with sobriety, I am familiar with 12-steps both professionally and personally.

Self-Esteem

When low self esteem is the norm, it can feel nearly impossible to feel good and motivated to try anything. Allow me to help uncover those irrational beliefs and thought patterns that keep you from feeling good about yourself. Awareness is power. You can’t learn what you don’t know.

Bereavement

Whether it’s a recent, complicated, or longstanding grief in your life, I can provide support and guidance to individuals and/or family members. Experiencing grief and loss after losing a loved one is life-changing. I also provide in-home sessions for clients who are in hospice or cannot drive due to illness.

We schedule your first (Individual or Couples) session. A couple of forms will be sent to you. We are good to go!

I do not accept insurance; however, per your request, a Superbill is provided for you to submit to insurance. A sliding scale fee is offered for those who qualify.

Good Faith Estimate

NO SURPRISES ACT & GOOD FAITH ESTIMATES

As of January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to provide estimates for the costs of your care. The Good Faith Estimate shows the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your healthcare needs and treatment. This will be provided by this office upon scheduling and/or as requested. This Good Faith Estimate does not include unexpected costs that could arise during treatment.
